Open Seminar com a Professora Sara Brandellero (University of Leiden)
Dr. Brandellero holds a BA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Cardiff, an MA in Brazilian Literature from the University of Brasilia and a DPhil in Portuguese (Brazilian Literature) from the University of Oxford. She held lectureships at the University of Oxford and University of Leeds (UK), before joining the University of Leiden in September 2011. Her research focuses on Modern and contemporary Brazilian literature – especially Modernist writing and postdictatorial – and Luso-Brazilian cinema. One of her main topics is the study of travel and mobility in literature and film. Her publications include the single-authored book On a Knife-Edge: the Poetry of Joao Cabral de Melo Neto (OUP, 2011) and the edited volume The Brazilian Road Movie: Journeys of (Self)Discovery (Uni of Wales Press, 2013).
