Paving the path to construct an intersection between tasks and the early years of elementary schools in Brazil
In this Open Seminar, I will discuss the theoretical underpinnings that guide my study regarding Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and the L2 learning in the early years of elementary school. The main purpose of which is designing and implementing a cycle of critical tasks for this teaching/learning context. I will provide an overview of studies in these two areas, discussing their main tenets and concepts, a working definition of task and then talk about the specificities of English teaching in Brazilian public institutions.
